Thank you "The Way We Are" by Commercial Radio for inviting us to share about our work in encouraging the public to understand local trees and promoting the upcycling of tree resources. Every year, we organize a series of free educational and community activities so that people have the opportunity to understand the importance of upcycling and the social concept of "integration of people and trees". For those who missed the show, you can listen to the show again via this link: https://campaign.881903.com/hkjc-charities/
Thanks to Yahoo News! sharing, as the author said, abandoned trees and wood are both very valuable. We hope that through our Upcycling Wood Workshops for Youth, students transformed waste wood with their own hands and made brand new wood products to donate to grassroots people in need, including the Treasure Box specially designed for school children living in small subdivided rooms, enables them to connect with the community.
Jockey Club "Tree Upcycling" Youth Co-creation Project organized by HKDI DESIS Lab encourages the public to understand local trees, integrates social innovation design and craftsmanship, and regenerates local tree resources.
