We conducted a school workshop at Buddhist Tai Kwong Chi Hong College last week. Maurice, Product Designer of InnoSphere, explained to students how to use creativity and skills to transform recycled wood into reusable and beautiful products. Maurice brought along HAMDAMA, a new toy inspired by Kendama, everyone finds it fun and stress releasing!
Our first school workshop at HKDI, it's also the first time F.6 students from Carmel Alison Lam Foundation Secondary School get their hands on workshop tools for sawing, nailing and pasting!
The last two sessions of our Taster Workshops - Wooden Pull Back Car & Brach Wind Chime. Children get to grind and paste like a real carpenter! Instructor Norman also prepared handmade environmental friendly gadgets for children to play with, such as popsicle sticks pistol, toilet paper tube Kendama and table tennis rackets made from wine wooden boxes. While having fun, children understand how to integrate environmental protection and upcycling into their lives.
After Mid-Autumn Festival, what would you do with the mooncake boxes? Norman, instructor of Taster Workshop, teaches children to create a one-of-a-kind one string guitar using recycled mooncake boxes. We had a big ensemble on the spot, playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star together!
On behalf of Introductory Wood Workshop Class C-F, we delivered wooden bench and toolbox to A Classroom Without Age @Woopie Club.
