Students from Introductory Wood Workshop Class W2 completed wooden storage boxes for grassroots people who applied for the Caritas Jockey Club 'One More Lap' computer donation program, and it was donated at the beginning of July. All storage boxes are made from recycled red wine wooden boxes, which are environmentally friendly and practical. We hope those who receive them will like them.
The recycled wooden bow and arrow workshop on 6/7 has been successfully completed! Thank you Norman for his careful guidance, so that children can, with the help of their parents, use recycled wood and combine it with other environmentally friendly materials to create a highly personalized recycled wood bow and arrow. Everyone had a great time that day, children can’t wait to try it out quickly, and they want to color it and make it look beautiful after they finish the work!
The wooden one-string guitar workshop on 6/7 has been successfully completed, thanks to Norman, an environmentally friendly dad who teaches us how to use recycled wooden bed boards, combined with unnecessary jars such as mooncake jars, cookie jars, to create an environmentally friendly one-string guitar that you can watch and play. Participants also played the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on the spot using their own one-string guitars, it's really amazing, everyone is having a great time, and they kept asking Norman to teach them more songs!
The 2nd tour of this year's "Tree Tour Hong Kong" - Fu Tei Au Village was successfully completed at the end of May! Thanks to Vega, lecturer of Higher Diploma in Landscape Architecture at Hong Kong Design Institute HKDI, and villagers, lead the group to go deep into Fu Tei Au Village to explore the tree species and natural ecology. Although there was a little shower, it did not stop everyone’s determination to “hunt for treasure” in the village. There are many tree species here that are familiar to everyone but rarely seen, everyone was so excited when the see avocado trees, unicorn trees, and cocoa bean trees.
