On behalf of Introductory Wood Workshop Class A & B, we presented Wooden Pull Back Car and Wooden Kinetic Machine to Ngau Tau Kok Kaifong Welfare Association as Mid-Autumn Festival gift.
The 6th "Tree Tour Hong Kong" has concluded successfully! Some members brought along their professional cameras to take pictures of plants and trees in North District Park. We hope that everyone will learn to distinguish leaves of different trees from our ecological guides, who are students studying Health and Life Sciences (IVE, Sha Tin) Tree Management. At noon, we went to the Lion House Club for lunch, and the owner shared the traditional lion dance culture with us! After that, children went to feed the sheep in a small farm next door. In the afternoon, we visit Chi Kee Lumber Factory, and used a camera to record every wood and tile in Chi Kee. The site will be demolished on 13 September, if you are interested in going there by yourself, you can follow them on Facebook! This year's "Tree Tour Hong Kong" has been very successful, thank you for your great support! We will continue our green tours next year, interested in joining us? Just remember to like & follow us!
Last Saturday's Taster Workshop was a great success! Thank you Instructor Norman for inspiring children to use recycled wood to create unique Wooden Robot and Wooden Bow & Arrow. Children and parents get to understand the value of wood upcycling while having fun with creative design. Everyone had a good time!
Introductory Wood Workshop - Class C & D has already started! Mr. Lee will teach students to hand-made wooden stools and toolboxes, and all finished products will be donated to local NGOs.
The 5th "Tree Tour Hong Kong" has concluded successfully! We are delighted to learn that some participants have also joined our Wood Workshop and Taster Workshop, and even recommend our programs to friends and family. Thank you all for your support! We hope everyone will learn more about local tree species, and the relationship between Fung Shui Woods and the community. We then went for lunch at Lion House Club, and the owner shared the traditional lion dance culture with us. in the afternoon, we visited Chi Kee Lumber Factory to understand more about local wood processing industry.
