After Mid-Autumn Festival, what would you do with the mooncake boxes? Norman, instructor of Taster Workshop, teaches children to create a one-of-a-kind one string guitar using recycled mooncake boxes. We had a big ensemble on the spot, playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star together!
On behalf of Introductory Wood Workshop Class C-F, we delivered wooden bench and toolbox to A Classroom Without Age @Woopie Club.
Students praised Mr. Lee (instructor at Faculty of Craft) for his easy-to-understand teaching and the content is substantial, while Mr. Lee and the teaching assistant are dedicated to teaching every student! A wood building block is presented to each student as graduation gift, and we hope they will keep their enthusiasm for woodworking!
On behalf of Introductory Wood Workshop Class A & B, we presented Wooden Pull Back Car and Wooden Kinetic Machine to Ngau Tau Kok Kaifong Welfare Association as Mid-Autumn Festival gift.
The 6th "Tree Tour Hong Kong" has concluded successfully! Some members brought along their professional cameras to take pictures of plants and trees in North District Park. We hope that everyone will learn to distinguish leaves of different trees from our ecological guides, who are students studying Health and Life Sciences (IVE, Sha Tin) Tree Management. At noon, we went to the Lion House Club for lunch, and the owner shared the traditional lion dance culture with us! After that, children went to feed the sheep in a small farm next door. In the afternoon, we visit Chi Kee Lumber Factory, and used a camera to record every wood and tile in Chi Kee. The site will be demolished on 13 September, if you are interested in going there by yourself, you can follow them on Facebook! This year's "Tree Tour Hong Kong" has been very successful, thank you for your great support! We will continue our green tours next year, interested in joining us? Just remember to like & follow us!
